Now, more than ever, we need to show ourselves self love. Millions of women are not only Mom’s right now but also teachers due to the Coronavirus. We are out of work, stressed, and still trying to balance life. We are constantly worrying about others and trying to make sure everyone is ok, but who makes sure you are ok? Being a mom is stressful enough, especially if you are a single mom like Brittany. Then throw in COVID 19 and your stress levels go through the roof. So how do we show ourselves self love at a time like this? It’s not easy but Brittany has been practicing this for awhile now so let me share some of the wonderful things we have both learned.
Positivity is a great way to show self love. It’s ok to have a small group of friends and live in a positive bubble. You don’t have time for negativity with everything going on. So don’t settle for just ok friends. Now is the time to rebuild you circle and put only those in it that will make you a better person. You want to be the good role model for you children and you can only do this if you show yourself love first. It is important to love yourself in order to love others. Now is a good time to show those around you the proper way to handle emergency situations and how to do it while staying humane and kind. Your mind is very powerful so only keep positive thoughts in it.
Right now many feel like giving up, but instead of giving up rebuild yourself. This is the perfect time to show yourself self love by making a list of what makes you happy and how do you want to be seen and treated by others? Right now we are self quarantined so this is the best time to figure out how you want the world to see you and treat you once we can socialize again. This is the time to delete all the negative people in your life. You have no time for them. Brittany like many single Moms works multiple jobs to make things work so you can only imagine the extra stress she if feeling right now. However instead of showing her kids her stress her mental strength is what they see.
Brittany is constantly going on hikes. This is a great way to show yourself self love. It gives you not only exercise but allows you to connect with nature and find peace within. If your’e not an outdoors kind of person find something you love. Yoga is a great way to find balance and learn how to stretch your body and mind. I personally love kickboxing. I like loud fast music that gets me moving fast and hitting things. There are a variety of types of exercises out there. So whether you are a gym person, like to follow a DVD or online class, or prefer to get outside and hike or run, you can find something that gives you a few minutes or hours to yourself to mentally unwind and physically show yourself some love.
Self Love is very important, especially for Moms which is why Boudoir sessions or Glamour sessions are so important for us. Brittany brought a whole new kind of sexy back into her life after doing this session. She works very hard at multiple jobs and taking care of others so it was nice to see her take some time out for herself. Brittany is an amazing single Mom who went through a terrible break up but is focusing on positivity and self love right now. She is the kind of person who is not going to settle or apologize for expecting the best and wanting to be treated right. Instead of giving up she has chosen to rebuild herself the way she deserves to be seen and treated which is something I hope all women follow. We all deserve self love, respect, and to treated like a princess.
